It’s Your Time To Turn Inward
Before you leave this earth, how do you want to be remembered? What do you want to achieve? What do you want to experience?
The Inward Approach
Strategic coaching itself embodies a systematic, future-focused approach that empowers you to create the life you want and achieve your goals. The coaching you experience at “The Inward Process”, is different to what you may initially think of as say in traditional sports or consulting in business. It’s different in these key ways:
Focus on Self-Awareness: Strategic coaching helps you to turn inward and understand your current situation, including your habits, challenges, motivations and desires. This self-awareness, centred on turning inward is the foundation for making lasting changes, and achieving set goals.
Collaborative Partnership: Instead of a coach (like a sports coach) prescribing goals, routines and telling you what to do, you’ll work together with me to define what success looks like for YOU. This creates a sense of ownership, accountability and responsibility, that fuels your drive. Because they are your goals! And at the end of the day, you still know yourself more than anyone else (obviously).
Actionable Strategies: Strategic coaching is about taking action, not just talk. You’ll develop personalised strategies and action steps that fit your lifestyle, and preferences to move you towards your well defined, desired outcomes.
Strategic coaching is like having the ultimate accountability partner, helping you achieve your goals faster and more effectively than if you were doing it all on your own, where we create a personalised roadmap to achieving a vision. It’s about turning inward and empowering you to make choices. While I offer guidance, expertise and suggestions, you remain the ultimate expert in your life. Because at the end of the day, you still know yourself more than anyone else (obviously).
For strategic coaching, we have three main offerings that often intertwine:
- Forging your Purpose, Values & Goals
- Unlocking high performance
- Mastering your emotions
1. Forge Your Purpose, Values & Goals
If you are feeling stuck, having trouble setting goals and there is a lack of purpose, then our strategic coaching services can help. Many people struggle to clarify what they do actually want. In fact, they can often tell you what they don’t want, rather than what they actually want. Perhaps, they know what they want want and have some dream, some idea, but the ‘how’ seems frustrating. They have no plan, no clarity on how they will get there, and deep down, their just “living the dream”. If you have been struggling to set your goals, get clear on your values and purpose whether in your personal or professional life, then it’s time to act. Let’s forge a personalised strategic roadmap to uncover a purpose that is genuinely and authentically yours. That aligns with your values, principles and what you actually want.
At The Inward Process, we:
- Start with who: Write out a personal and/or organisational purpose statement. This will clarify who you and what drives you, or your organisation forward.
- Develop a personalised strategic roadmap: Together we will tailor a strategic roadmap that clearly defines your destination/vision. Transforming vague ideas into actionable solutions, anticipating challenges and staying driven throughout the process.
- Set congruent goals: We’ll establish meaningful goals that are congruent to your individual/organisation’s core values, beliefs and overarching purpose. Ensuring every step forward resonates with what matters to you.
- Outline the specific process: Finally the process, the how. We’ll outline the specific steps and ‘the how’ to execute your goals, using and developing your innate resources. This will be further supplemented by educational materials/resources that I may suggest/provide for you to continue to grow outside of our 1 on 1 sessions.
2. Unlocking High Performance
Ever have one of those “on fire” days? You’re totally on, crushing it at work, sport, or business. Feeling unstoppable. But then… nothing. Back to the usual struggle. Sound familiar? That’s the problem with chasing “peak performance”. Moments of willpower and then procrastination. It’s like those pro-athletes who have an amazing season, but then fizzle out. It’s unsustainable.
What we need and offer at The Inward Process is high performance. Not short bursts of brilliance followed by burnout. High performance is about consistently exceeding your own expectations, above your standard norm previously. In a way that feels good and lasts. No more all or nothing approaches, or social media pressure. Just you, showing up, doing the work – consistently and enjoyably. We do this through self-discipline.
The word discipline actually means “disciple”. To be a scholar, or student. Recognising this, we therefore take a different approach to discipline and how we use our time. Yes, there is a part of discipline that is about hard work, developing repeatable processes and executing them consistently, but before this, “true discipline” is about being a student of yourself. To really turn Inward and know yourself as a student. To know how you are going to negotiate with yourself and show up to the world. Knowing your biases, tendencies, narratives, styles, all the things that play out.
Building upon this, the cornerstone to high performance through self-discipline starts with self-awareness and habitual/behavioural change.
At The Inward Process, we offer a unique, results driven approach to help you:
- To know your biases, tendencies, narratives and stories inside and out. This will help you eliminate any poor, procrastinating habits/behaviour – the ones that you feel stuck on. That you’re sick of repeating.
- Forge high performance habits that foster deep lasting transformation.
- Develop and create personalised powerful routines and systems that optimise your focus, productivity and consistency.
- Learn effective time management, planning, organisation and prioritisation skills so that you can follow through on your goals and aspirations – even when motivation dips and uncertainty is prevalent.
We all must suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline, or the pain of regret.
3. Master Your Emotions
Emotions can either derail us or enhance us. At The Inward Process, we understand that one of the hardest things in life is navigating our emotions. That’s why one of our key offerings is focused on developing crucial skillsets in emotional regulation and emotional intelligence.
A key aspect of emotional mastery involves the discernment of when to heed your feelings and act on them, and when to set them aside. Most importantly, we guide you through to know how – what are the effective steps/processes to do just this, so that you can understand how to make these decisions from this lens, and understand why you came to make the choices that you do.
At The Inward Process, with mastering your emotions, you will:
Develop a toolbox of effective techniques and strategic tools to understand what an emotion is, the purpose of emotions and how to manage them effectively so that you can take back control.
You will understand and know how/when to use your feelings – how to leverage certain feelings to your advantage like boosting, energy, success, understanding and productivity – being completely locked in and engaged.
Learn to leverage your emotions to make informed decisions. It’s not about suppressing emotions, but it’s about knowing when to regulate your emotions through effective compartmentalisation/mindfulness skills, and when to ‘follow your heart’ using emotional intelligence so that, for example, you can attain greater clarity towards your vision/goals.
Enhance your communication skills and know how to assert/defend your boundaries.
Enhance your resilience, not just push through with “mental toughness” – the simple ability to endure pain – but by adopting a more sophisticated, nuanced approach that refines your cognitive and attributional style.
Practically all of our stress and the dumb choices we make in our life are as a direct result of our emotions – linked directly to our cognitive and attributional style. That is to say, your cognitive style refers to your preferred way of thinking and processing thoughts/feelings, and attributional style referring to how you explain events around to yourself, especially during setbacks.
The result? By developing a deeper understanding of these styles and learning how ot effectively control and manage your emotions, you’ll equip yourself with the tools to succeed more consistently in the areas of your life that matter most to you. This nuanced approach to building resilience and emotional intelligence, can lead to profound and lasting improvements in both your personal and professional endeavours.
What you can expect from Strategic Coaching:
Results Driven
Achieve your desired outcomes and results that you want, faster and more effectively than if you were doing all this on your own.
Deep, Honest, Authentic & Meaningful Conversations
We talk about what’s happening in your personal life, your performance, where you are currently at and the obstacles you face. I am not just going to blindly agree with you (yes sometimes I will challenge you when necessary to understand, or uncover – particularly the narratives and choices that play out). I conduct the strategic coaching process in such a way that emphasises deep listening and empathy. This is so I can hold the space for you to be authentic, honest, and express what’s really going on.
Effective, Action Oriented Steps
After every session, you will always have action steps and “tasking”, for you to complete, as well as any effective material I suggest you read and understand. This direct, strategic approach ensures that your growth, skill development and progress exceeds far beyond just our sessions.
Improved Decision Making & Accountability
We offer specific frameworks for decision making, helping clients weigh options quickly and confidently. We also become powerful accountability partners, ensuring follow-through and helping you stay on track! Best of all, when you no longer need our services and go solo, you’ll have the tools and confidence to take full ownership and accountability for your life, so that you are self-sufficient.
Navigate the Uncertainty
The only certainty in life is uncertainty. So much of our lives, in any domain, is tied over what we have no control over. This creates self-doubt in decision making, thoughts, beliefs, because you don’t know for certain what the outcome will be. When there is so much variability and change occurring in our lives, you’ll have repeatable processes to actually fall back on, so that you will be able to deal with the unknowns effectively.
Shift Your Mindset & Address Any Unconscious Limiting Beliefs
Uncover and addressing self imposed limitations and/or limiting beliefs rooted from unhelpful internal dialogue patterns. This not only frees you from judgement, but unlocks new possibilities and choices for your life.
Heightened Focus & Concentration
You’ll learn techniques/tools to sharpen focus and improve your time management skills. This will enable more efficient work, and your ability to concentrate over longer periods for what is meaningful and important to you.

Book an absolutely 20-minute discovery session with me. This is your opportunity to discuss a bit about who you are, what’s currently going on, your top goals as well as if you have any questions to ask of me! We will then begin to tailor solutions and see how The Inward Process can best serve and honour you, so that you can move forward and get the results that you want. I really value authenticity and honesty, and will let you know if I believe we will be a good fit – it’s a genuine conversation we’ll have.
If we both agree that we’re the right fit, then I will send you the pre-coaching questionnaire, discuss and book a time that is available and best for you, and other important information like the coaching agreement for you to review and sign.
Frequently Asked Questions
Not sure yet? Here are the answers to some common questions
Strategic coaching is a goal-oriented approach that helps individuals clarify their objectives and create a customised roadmap to achieve them. It focuses on actionable steps, aligning goals with personal values, and addressing barriers like limiting beliefs, self-doubt, or a lack of clarity for example. Coaches provide accountability, structure, and practical strategies for long-term success.
The coaching you experience at “The Inward Process”, is different to what you may initially think of as traditional coaching or consulting, such as in sports or in business, where they give you direct advice, prescribe rigid routines and specific directives to aim for. I am not here to tell you how to live your life, that you should get up at 4am, or what you should do exactly with your life. That’s not the type of coach I am. At The Inward Process, while I offer insights, suggestions and open up the door to potential possibilities, at the end of the day, you still know yourself better than anyone else does (obviously). This is your life, so how you want to live your life, what your goals and aspirations are, begins with the choices and decisions you make.
At The Inward Process, strategic coaching has two primary aims:
1) Achieve your desired outcomes and results that you want, faster and more effectively than if you were doing all this on your own. To save you the time, the stumbling blocks, pain points and pitfalls that inevitably occur along the way.
2) While I am a powerful accountability partner, the second outcome of strategic coaching is to forge the patterns and processes that are innately within you, so that when our sessions have concluded, you are more determined in taking full responsibility, ownership and accountability for your own life.
The coaching process centres around powerful questioning, exploration and creating a meaningful partnership through collaborative dialogue that is deep, honest, authentic, and meaningful. So how does the coaching process firstly work?
The first session, is all about clarity, where we discuss the answers to your pre-coaching questionnaires you have filled, to understand where you are currently sitting in your life, and strategically craft, what are your expectations of coaching, and the Exact Goals you wish to accomplish.
We then begin the collaborative process to uncover the skills or experiential gaps – your unique obstacles (which may include self-doubt, uncertainty, fear, limiting beliefs, stories/narratives that you’ve held on to, which you have never even thought of questioning) to name a few.
And frankly, all the other garbage that can go on in our personal lives. It’s what we don’t know, and what we think we know that isn’t so, that ends up tripping us up. This is what a seasoned coach identifies. The coaching process isn’t always easy, sometimes I will challenge you, but the process is rewarding.
Once the strategic goal is set, and the gaps identified, we set out the action steps, tasking and any important materials for you to read that will be valuable – ensuring that you continue to learn, grow and expand, not just in the time that you work with me in the sessions.
Anyone with personal or professional goals can benefit from strategic coaching. It’s especially useful for people who feel stuck, need clarity, want to improve their productivity, or are looking for guidance on how to align their actions with their values and long-term objectives.
While both forms of coaching aim to help clients improve their lives, strategic coaching specifically emphasises developing clear, measurable goals and creating a step-by-step plan to achieve them. It’s more focused on action, execution, and problem-solving than general self-improvement or emotional exploration.
- Coaching: Focuses on helping clients identify and achieve their personal or professional goals through action-oriented strategies. The coach doesn’t provide direct advice but helps you uncover your own answers and build plans that align with your values.
- Counselling: Deals more with emotional and psychological well-being. Counsellors help individuals explore past experiences, trauma, or emotional difficulties, offering support for mental health issues like anxiety, depression, or grief.
- Mentoring: Involves a more experienced person guiding someone with less experience. A mentor provides advice, shares knowledge, and supports professional or personal development based on their own experiences.
- Consulting: Involves an expert who provides direct solutions, advice, and strategies for specific business or technical challenges. Consultants often identify problems and recommend action plans to solve them.
Strategic coaching can help with a wide range of goals, including high performance, goal setting, emotional mastery, productivity, career development and overall personal growth. Coaches tailor the approach to fit your specific needs and aspirations.
The length of the coaching process varies depending on the goals and needs of the individual. Some clients see significant results in just a few sessions, while others prefer ongoing support over months. A typical coaching engagement can last anywhere from a few weeks to several months. The initial coaching session length will last 90 minutes, with subsequent sessions lasting 60 minutes.
Strategic coaching typically starts with an initial consultation to clarify your goals, challenges, and values. From there, each session is 60 minutes, where the coach works with you to develop a personalized plan of action, breaking down your larger goals into smaller, achievable steps. Regular sessions focus on progress, refining strategies, and overcoming any obstacles you encounter.
Coaching is often considered a valuable investment because it helps you reach your goals faster and more effectively than if you were doing it all on your own, provides clarity, and equips you with tools that benefit both your personal and professional life long-term. Or provides extra accountability if you feel you need that.
A crucial part of strategic coaching at The Inward Process is unlocking “high performance”, rather than hitting “peak performance”. How many times have you seen a pro in sport, “they are in the zone”, they have a brilliant game or a great season, but then the rest of their career is pretty mediocre? How many times has this occurred in your life? Where you have those “short bursts” of productivity, those moments where you absolutely smash it out, yet afterwards, you procrastinate, and your productivity is virtually useless? Or people you know of, who have a successful career, but they neglect their own health and the important relationships in their life? It is not about obtaining “peak performance”, through this black and white, all or nothing approach (i.e., dichotomous/global thinking), which so many no doubt you see in the social media and self-development industry preach, that leads to nothing but burnout, frustration, and poor results. The key, therefore, is high performance. Being able to execute in a consistent, sustainable fashion above your previous norm.
For strategic psychotherapy/clinical hypnotherapy sessions, you can expect to see changes within a few sessions, and typically, depending on how complex your presenting issues are and how well you engage in the process, you can expect to see significant results between 4-6 sessions.
No, a strategic coach won’t tell you what to do. Instead, they’ll help you uncover your own answers and build a personalized strategy that works for you. They guide and support your decision-making process rather than dictating it.
Progress in strategic coaching is measured through specific, tangible outcomes. You and your coach will set clear goals and milestones to track along the way, ensuring that you see real improvements in the areas you want to focus on.
